Week 17 - Mini Bump

I think my blog is turning into a pregnancy blog!

Oh well, I suppose that's fine since this is our first baby after all! And right now, all I'm looking forward to is my trip back to Singapore and Krabi, where I get to eat all my favourite food!!!

I haven't put on much weight, maybe 2-3kg so far, which is cool! I reckon its got something to do with the fact that I lost 2 kg in my first trimester (don't ask me how), but I've regained those 2 lost kg and put on another 2 more. So that makes it a nett 2 kg gain.

Anyway, for the people who are interested to see how my belly looks now, here are 2 photos that I took just one day shy of my 17-week mark. I have also bought myself a Doppler which you can use to hear baby's heartbeat. Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in recording it on my laptop so that you can hear it too! Its the coolest sound ever! Like galloping horses. :)

You can definitely see the rounded belly now. My usual belly does not protude that much. But I do have admit that I'm still in the "Is she or isn't she?" awkward stage. Haven't felt any baby movements yet but I heard that most women feel movements only in their 20th week.

Can't fit into any of my regular jeans anymore and I have resorted to wearing my only maternity pants every single day! I think I got to get bigger before I can actually fit into maternity wear properly. Right now, they kinna hang loose on me.
  That's me at 17 weeks
For comparison, you can see my previous weeks' bumps

So what do you think? Is it going to be a boy or girl??? Only a few more days before we find out! **Exciting**

Check you out with your baby bump... :) I still cannot believe that I'm going to be an aunt soon. Make sure you keep posting those photos of you so that I can see what's happening. Boy or girl? I don't mind at all but what do you wish for?

Lots of love from down under!

Hey Irene
Thanks! :) Yeah I've heard about water birth. Need to get myself more informed about that before I make a decision! Still a while to go... :)

Hey Jie Jie! :)

Thanks. Nice to know that it looks like a baby bump. It does look bigger in the evening and shrink in the morning. Sure thing. I will take photos the next time I feel like I got bigger! I don't know about gender though I did have 2 dreams about having a baby boy even before I got married, when I was already engaged though. :)

Hugs.

yay bump! waiting with baited breath to know the gender, not that it's crucial as a baby is a baby and a baby is a blessing and either one would receive a resounding round of whoops and hoorays :) ah but you know what? my tummy is as big as yours now and i'm not even preggie yet. hmm...shall have to go on some weight loss routine for now me thinks...heh...but that chicken looks too good!

Hey Jos!
Just one more day!!! I'm sooo mega excited! Hope I can sleep tonight! Hahah. :) Aiyah, your belly can't be as big as mine! I've seen your photos and you're DEFINITELY smaller. :) And yes, the prawn paste chicken tasted sooo wonderful!

Hey Serene
Thanks a lot!!! So nice to see you on blogosphere again. Do you have internet again?

Yeah loh, we had to wait a while for this baby, as it didn't happen immediately when we wanted it to. But this is perfect timing too, God's timing. How are you in Shanghai?
