Germany goes to the polls

Today´s election day for the German representatives in the European Paraliment and the local town council. I´m quite clueless about how the entire election works here but as stated in this article I would urge all Germans to go and vote! :) (Including those who live overseas.) We were discussing about it over lunch today and realized that in the past, people died for the chance to vote and nowadays people underestimate the power of a single voice. I believe that every vote makes a difference.

Dear God, I pray that you would put the right people in positions of power and leadership. In these uncertain times, I pray that you´d grant wisdom to our leaders to make the right decisions for the good for the country and international community. Help them to govern and guide your people according to how King Solomon did in his time. In Jesus name, Amen.

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1 Tim 2:1-4
