Bali Day 1

Ok, so I know that I´ve got loads to blog about our fantastic Bali trip. However, I should limit my time in front of the computer since my eyes are technically still recovering and the first 24 hours are crucial. I shall breakdown my trip to days. Our first day was (as you would know), zombifying. We slept barely 2 hrs from 1-3am, went to the airport by 4am and took the 6am flight. Our first time on LionAir - after our sad booking experience (more details here), we didn´t know what to expect of the flight.
(Above - Stephan´s legs almost being broken from the narrow legspace. He begged for "Emergency Exit" seats on the way back.)
The Le Meridien Hotel Lobby....open-air, spacious, which screamed "You´re on holiday!"
Ahh...coconut trees, blue seas, greenery....Our view from the hotel lobby, which is located on a cliff. The famous Tanah Lot temple is in the background..
Our King-sized bed in our bedroom...
which was connected to the bathroom, with an open-air concept....
We had a balcony that offered a view of the garden, swimming pool and a little bit of the ocean
A sofa that was very comfortable but hardly sat on....
and welcome fruits. Loved the way they put in an effort to make the place homely. And of course, being Singaporean, I simply had to try out the bathtub!
We spent the afternoon just sleeping until late afternoon, when we decided to try out the facilities in the hotel like the swimming pools etc. Not feeling very adventurous, we decided to have dinner at the hotel and settled for simple Balinese food - grilled fish and chicken Balinese style.

And we ended off our first night in Bali by playing pool against each other
Phew, first day done....stay tuned for the next 5 days of Bali! We have over 300 photos!
