Gabriel's newborn photography

We did Gabriel's newborn photography when he was just 10 days old.

In Germany, they recommend that newborn shots be taken between 10 - 14 days after baby is born.

Not having any idea about that guideline for Sammy, we only did his photoshot at 4 weeks old. He was already too big for most of the props and we had a very hard time trying to get him to sleep in order to get peaceful closed-eyes shots.

Hence, for Gabriel we decided to be an early bird so that we could photograph him all squishy and fresh from the oven.

The photographer did such an amazing job! She came over to our house and I must say that it was the best decision ever. It's just so much more relaxing for the whole family and the photographer had the flexibility to do what she wanted according to whether Gabriel was sleeping or not.

We made use of this opportunity to take some family shots too and we're so over the moon with those she took with Sammy and Gabriel. Sooo precious!

Sleepy blissfulness

snuggled as a bug

Those delicate fingers

So glad we got this shot! With Sammy, this shot didn't work out cos he was simply too big already!

A glimpse of a smile in his sleep
My favourite shots! Absolutely adore these!

Best.shot.ever!

I did a similar shot with Sammy too
We're a family of four!

Sammy being held upside-down by hubby and making a monkey face while at that

See any similarities?

This has got to be one of the best shots of Sammy thus far

Sitting on the chair like a little big boss

This picture is going to go into the birth announcement card!

Looking cheeky with his side glance

Awww, that cute little smile and glimmer in his eyes! *heart melt*

Compare with Sammy's newborn shots.

For those who are interested, here's the photographer's website.

Bern - Thank you! I think so too!!! :) Love taking photos like these... helps to immortalize babies in their cuteness, so that at some time I'd forget how much a newborn cries! lol.
