Ok, not really a "slave" but I do spend a lot of time in the kitchen, preparing the ingredients, cooking and washing up after that. That's one thing I really miss about Singapore. The convenience of being able to buy cheap hawker fare anytime I want. But on the other hand, if I were to live in Singapore, I doubt that I would want to eat out all the time either. The MSG and artificial flavouring in the food is not very healthy either.
During church today I was salivating at the thought of making an omelette with chinese sausages. Hubby absolutely gags at the taste of sweet chinese sausages but hey, one can't deny the cravings of a preggy woman right? And besides, I'll end up eating the omelette by myself.
So here's what we had for dinner today. Absolutely satisfying, delightful and more than enough for lunch tomorrow too.
Nonya Chicken Curry (from Prima Taste) Its doesn't taste as strong as the Singapore curry but it still packs a punch.
A bit spicy and very flavourful.

Springhome Roti Prata, absolutely a must-have with curries.
Omelette fried with chinese sausages, love it!
To make it a balanced meal I stir-fried some broccoli with ginger, oyster sauce and light soya sauce. I prefer my broccoli al dente and crunchy whereas hubby prefers his really soft - how does one solve a dilemma like that? We compromise by him eating a grand total of 4 broccolis (yup, he counts them) while I eat the rest.
