Ours was really cool. We had my Jap friend and her family over on Christmas eve and that was beyond awesome (coming later).
And of course we got great presents! Its really the thought that counts. That someone has bothered to think of something for you and even made the effort to wrap it up properly.
It was even more superb to see the smiles on their faces too when they opened up their presents.
I can't believe that the long-awaited day has come and gone! But I'm really looking forward to the New Year too! A New Year that brings new hope, new dreams, new direction and new inspiration from God!
We've been having so much snow and temperatures are hovering at sub-zero levels so the snow looks like its here to stay! We don't have a garage with our new apartment, so hubby has had to keep removing the snow from his car **hard work**!
The coolest part about this Christmas? We managed to have a white Christmas! Woo hoo! I've been in Germany for 4 years and this is my 5th Christmas. Guess what? I think its one of the rare times we had a white Christmas! (So sorry Bel. We know how you always prayed for a white Christmas when you were here to visit)
Its really pretty. Like a winter wonderland. Everything's covered in a layer of white. So pure. So innocent. So beautiful.
I'll just leave you with some of the photos I took for you to savour in the beauty of God's creation!

Old, German fachwerk house covered in snow
Fancy a walk in the park?
Endless snow fields!
Hubby and his mom
More snow!
Love the lone tree in the middle
Don't you think the trees seem to be asymmetrical?
Care to journey with me into the unknown?
Sometimes our fear holds us more than the reality itself
Snow-covered modern house.....This is the neighbourhood of my in-laws' place.
SIL's favourite house in the neighbourhood
Right: Gorgeous leaves-shaped snow
Left: Towering needle trees. So pretty!

Hey Manis!
Thanks! I wished you too on your blog!
Hey Bel!
Yah loh! We kept thinking and talking about you while we were walking in the snow! And remember what you wrote in my card? "I hope you're not having a white Christmas this year". The only thing I can say, God does have a sense of humour!
