Finally after 4 years and 1 month.....

Can´t believe it took me so long to do something so necessary.

You know how you decide to do something and know that you have to do it at some point in time, but always procrastinate it?

That´s what happened with our wedding album!

We had 2 slot-in albums which our photographer gave us. It was ok. Not the most creative thing ever, but fuss-free and practical.
However, you´d always had to turn the album for the vertical shots and there were no captions. Besides, the invitation cards were not part of the album either.

On the spur of the moment, we bought a close to 20€ wedding album sometime last year so that I would be "forced" to do it. I didn´t want to spend a bomb buying scrapbooking materials, since the stickers themselves cost close to 30€ already. Hence, I made do with what I had and finally managed to squeeze selected photos from the day and night into one compact album!

No mean feat. That´s choosing less than 50% of photos you took at this once-in-a-lifetime event!Complete with captions and all....Ahhh....I love it!

Looking at the photos remind me of God´s goodness in our lives. Our dinner venue came as a surprise. We were never 100% satisfied with our options, since we wanted a small wedding (200guests). However, we thought, "boy, we shouldn´t be picky". On our way to sign the contract at this hotel, we passed by this restaurant (2mins from hotel) and decided to take a look since a friend of mine asked us to check it out, in case he wanted to celebrated his wife´s birthday there.

Once inside, we were blown away by the interior and setting. It was exactly the venue where we pictured our dinner to be. Plus, it was cheaper than the hotel and the manager was so efficient and agreed to our requests so easily. The only drawback was that there was a tentative booking on our wedding date so with bated breaths, we asked her to check with that person if they really wanted the place.

2 days later, we got a call saying that the booking was cancelled and we went down immediately to sign the contract there and then.

That´s not all.

We also got a live band for free! It had always been my dream to have a live band, but since we were on budget constraints we had already decided to do without it. But God knows the desires of our hearts and provided for us just like that! The restaurant had an in-house band. :)

Its recalling things like these that helps me to continue to trust in my heavenly Father. That He knows my heart and my desires and in His appointed time, He will open new doors for me.

I took some random shots of my album for your enjoyment....
Our wedding invitations designed by my friend and all hand-cut.... 200 of them. Had sore fingers...
Before the church ceremony at home....
Church ceremony at SJSM
My beanie waiting apprehensively for me.....
All the wedding accessories....
Getting out of the car and wedding march  - my favourite part!
Photo shoot at Botanical Gardens - recognize the guy in black? That´s Gurmit Singh, whom we met coincidentally. He happens to share the same wedding date as us!

Beautiful beautiful, I don't even have enough photos to fill up half an album as our photographer (Hub's friend) was lovesick and not in the mood to do his job...

Anyway we only had like less than 30 guests, but the wedding was very expensive and was held in a small chateau.

What is important are the new and many pages that you will fill your future albums with. :-)

Hey Serene!
Thanks! :) I had to laugh at your story of your wedding photographer. Poor thing! That means you hardly have any wedding
photos!

Still a wedding in a chateau must have been sooo beautiful!

I agree! We have so many photos after the wedding, but sadly they remain in jpg.format....have not even developed most of them.

Thanks! It so happened that my uncle knew Gurmit (a client of his), so he called him over and we ended up taking a photo with him! hahah.

Dear Gene!
Thanks so much! :) It was soooo great having you as our dinner I/C, driver and so many other stuff! I couldn´t have wished for a better bro.!

Seeing the tea ceremony we had with my dad´s side of the family (they were late and we had to have the ceremony in the middle of everything and miss half of our dinner), I had to think of how stressful it must have been for you, our dinner I/C to re-shuffle all the other dinner programs!!!!

You did so awesome!

Hey Chrish!
Take your time! You haven´t relocated very long. The best things are always worth the wait. Though, don´t wait as long as me lah. I almost didn´t want to it anymore....since I already had the slot-in albums. haha.
