The weekend´s over! Well, both of us had short weekends, since we had to work on Saturdays. Notwithstanding, we spent it really well. My hubby slept a total of 14 hours from Saturday to Sunday and I slept about 12 hours! Oh man....can´t remember the last time I slept so long. Ok, so I do sleep a lot normally, but 12 hours is still a record. Hubby had a massive headache which explained why he had to skip church and I went to church on his behalf. :) Gosh, I should start cleaning my house now.....
We had fresh scallops for dinner last Friday. Stuttgart´s in the middle of a huge land mass which means that fresh seafood is rare and expensive.
Hence, when I saw Edeka selling fresh scallops for 4€ /100grams, I decided to indulge and bought 200 grams for dinner. I must say that it was real treat to grill scallops in the comfort of your own home, knowing that it cost a fraction the normal price one pays in a restaurant.
However, this being my first time grilling scallops, I think I overdid it a little and some parts were a bit chewy. Nevertheless, it still retained its succulent flavour, oozing with palatable goodness.

My portion with lemon chicken, a fried egg and complete with red wine to intoxicate the senses.... We were both in 7th heaven after our meal!
