I went for Lynette's and Chris' wedding on behalf of Stephan last Saturday. Stephan and Lynette knew each other on exchange in Canada one semester before I was there. Hence, I got to know Lynette through Stephan when we were introduced during Stephan's stay in Singapore. Renita was kind enough to accompany me there since I wouldn't have known anybody else. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised to meet Chin Chin, whom I got to know in Canada too at the wedding. It was a lovely wedding, though I don't know Lynette very well. The service was a tad more serious and solemn than I'm used to - being a presbyterian service, but nevertheless still meaningful. One thing Renita and I noticed was that during the Thank-You speech, only the groom said something, in comparison to those in SJSM, when both the bride and the groom would have a thank-you speech each. One videographer commented that the women in SJSM have a lot of say!
