Jen's Bachelorette party....

Jen's hen's party was a huge success! After days of wrecking my mind about what to do, I'm so glad that it turned out just great! Planning was a uphill process as people were away and "collectivistic decisions" were difficult. It didn't help too that I was no longer in tuned with what was "IN" in Singapore. I was actually so desperate that I goggled "how to plan a Hen's party in Singapore" to get more ideas. However, God is faithful and He guided me to make the right decision about where to go. I decided on both the restaurant and the party place - both of which were superb choices! Also resorted to asking the bride-to-be on how she wanted her Hen's party to be. We had 3 separate parts of the Hen's night.
Part 1) English tea at my place

We met at my place at around 430pm when we had strawberries, grapes, biscuits and English tea to start off our session of catching up and just relaxing. The open-air area right in the middle of our house was just ideal to spend 2 hrs chit-chatting. The girls also had their try at table soccer during which there was massive screaming and crazyness as skills were pit against one another. One can really see the personality and character of the other during competitive games.

Part 2) Italian restaurant in Al Forno

That's Jen standing on her chair and saying "I'm getting married" and doing a little dance....hahah

Pesto with toasted bread - yummy!

Pasta with scallops, prawns in creamy saffron sauce

Dessert on the house (cos it was the Hen's party) - Blackforest cake and Choc. cake (indescribeable). The choc is so rich and tasteful that one is transported to 7th heaven upon eating it.....The restaurant owner gave us 5 desserts, costing a total of S$45 for FREE! (speak of gd service!)

I only have one word to describe our dining experience. EXCELLENT! I got Jen a headgear and sash with the words "Bachelorette on the loose" and the girls tiaras so that we could play along. I also made all of them continue to wear their stuff in the train on the way to the pub, such that people were all staring at us! Its mega fun to dress up esp. in Sg where ppl are in general not super "on" about playing dress up....

In the train to NewAsia Bar

Part 3) NewAsia Bar on the 71st storey of Swissotel

I gave Jen toiletries from Yves Rocher in Germany earlier, so for her Hen's party, I simply passed her some vouchers for Spa and body massages to go for....

We prepared a small gift for Jennifer and made her play "truth or dare", giving her one present for each truth she says or each dare that she does. She is one sporting babe! She answered everything we asked (of course we were not so mean and asked her reasonable qns) and also did whatever we asked her to do! We actually made her dance from our table to the dance floor and ask someone if she can dance well! Boy! She did EVERYTHING! The DJ also announced that she's celebrating her Hen's night and there were a couple of people who went up to her to congratulate her on her upcoming wedding.

I'm so happy that after all the hard work of planning, everything paid off! It reminds me on how superb my Hen's night was and how I really enjoyed every minute of it! Somehow having a superb Hen's night sorta forces you into the "I'm actually getting married" mindset. Another few more days to go....so excited for my dear best friend....
