What do you do when close friends and family forget?

I celebrated into my 25th birthday last night and invited over 25 friends to my place. It was a blast, great to be able to celebrate my birthday with newfound friends over the past 1 year. It helps to get through the birthday too, cos I didn´t get a single call, sms, e-card, or email from any of my close friends or family members from Singapore. At least my husband remembers, my German family members and my friends in Germany. So that´s a silver lining on the clouds. BUT, it still hurts! I guess it hurts when I still do make an effort to remember my close friends and family members birthdays but they forget mine. Last yr, one close friend forgot, but I can´t believe that this year, ALL my close friends forgot. I really do miss my mom at times like this, she never forgets birthdays. Will post photos of my party once I cleaned up my place and get some sleep.
