Back from Holidays....

I'm back from my whirlwind trip to London and Paris!

What can I say. I love.love.love B.I.G. cities!

I miss the crowds, the tall buildings, the buzz in the air, the feeling that there's always something to do and something happening all the time. I enjoy going out at night and seeing people. I like lights. Restaurants, endless cafés and the food, glorious food! And I don't know about you, but being in a big city makes me feel young. Its so vibrant and you have this feeling like "everything is possible"!

I suppose London reminded me of New York. If you've been to New York before, you will understand why people love the Big Apple. Though I must say that the origins of the name "Big Apple" is not exactly N.Y's most glorious history.

Still, I'm happy to back in Stuttgart. Yeah, its a small(er) city. But I know this is where my place is. Pray that God will continue to affirm it in my heart. And this is home.

Anyway, here is a post to say I'm still alive and I haven't forgotten about my blog! Its just that I haven't had the time nor the energy to blog about my trips yet. My brother is staying at my place and we only have one computer! That's why I try to limit my time online so that my bro. would have some internet access too.

I'll be back soon! Happy Weekend!

Thanks for your encouragement! :) I need to work on not "comparing" cities and be happy where I am.

Daniel - Hahahah.... I think I should clarify myself. I meant "good food" by the fact that we went to the Chinatown in London and ate Dim Sum, Roasted Duck at authentic Chinese restaurants which tasted amazingly great!!! And reasonable prices too! Would be nice if Stuttgart had a Chinatown too! haha.

You could always start Chinatown in Stuttgart with your cooking! :) x

Hi Jie Jie!
That's what everybody tells me to do! To set up a restaurant. But I think its easier said than done though! I'll see how Stephan's company turns out. If it turns out fine, we might consider a start-up venture for myself! Have never considered myself to be the gastronomy business, but maybe, who knows???

Hi, I came across your blog when I was searching for ban mian. And I am so glad to have found your blog. I am also Singaporean and I will be heading to the Netherlands this coming summer to join my fiance who is Dutch. I really appreciate your blog as a Singaporean living overseas. I hope to keep in touch if you'd like too. Thanks, Suz
