Turmeric and honey chicken wings

Ohhh, I think I found my favourite recipe for chicken wings! They taste just like those they serve in hawker centres in Singapore. You know, the S$1 per chicken wing stores? Hmm, yummy.....

1. Marinate 500g chicken wings (mid joints) with the following ingredients overnight in the fridge. No time? 1-2 hours will do.

- Ginger juice (from pounded 2" ginger)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/8 tsp chilli powder

- 1 Lime

2. Grill in oven at 200 degrees celsius for 20-25 minutes or until done. Turn wings at half-time to ensure both sides are grilled beautifully!

3. Squeeze 1 lime over chicken for a definite killer dish!

Hey Manis
Yeah this recipe is pretty good. I didn´t follow the quantities very accurately either. Added more turmeric than required and a bit more salt. But it tasted perfect. So I figure that as long as your ingredients are ok, everything else should be fine too! Yeah, all the sauces here are expensive. Somehow. Best is to make them yourself.

Dear Irene!
Thanks! I´m considering if I should start offering cooking classes. Still thinking. Cool! Let me know how your wings turn out! I added a bit more chilli and turmeric for mine- compared to the recipe. Must post photos of your gingerbread house when it´s done!
