Healthy-unhealthy food

In my quest to eat more veggies, I finally cooked my own version of Chop Suey and its so super yummy! Its one of those things that you can keep eating and know that its so healthy! Its almost like 90% vegetables - broccoli, cauliflower, bean sprouts, mushrooms, red pepper, chinese fungi, bamboo, onion and 10% pork slices. I used the Maggi mix for Chop Suey, without any MSG, so that makes it even healthier. Great thing is that Stephan likes it too, so I can finally cook a super vegetable dish for detox!

As if to counterbalance my super healthy meal, I made another Nasi Lemak meal. This time, I used Asian Home Gourmet Nasi Lemak mix - and bOY! Its so so so superbly duperly yummy! Yummier than making the rice myself with coconut milk and pandan. Plus the price of the coconut milk is the SAME as that of the Asian mix. So I'm not gonna make the rice myself anymore.... This time, I treated myself to Luncheon meat from the asian store - almost 3Euros for 1 small can. Had Kentucky flour chicken wings and even had fried ikan bilis from Gerline. Yum yum! The only setback was my overly spicy sambal sauce! I can't seem to master the art of making my own sauce yet. Somehow when it comes to Tamarine pulp and Belacan, I just don't seem to have the right mix....Nevermind lah, I'm sure all those grannies took a lifetime to master their sauces too....for now, I shall be contented with Sing Long Sambal! Just that I only have 1 can left! Ahhh...need to long bang my dad to bring some more for me....
