Finally back in Singapore after a sleepless night, 12-hour flight and loads of jet-lag. What happens first of all back in my country? I fell sick! It must be the amazingly humid weather here and the weird thing is that I'm no longer accustomed to air-conditioning! Geez, I couldn´t sleep properly on my first night, cos I simply could not find a comfortable position to sleep! I was either blowing my nose or sweating like crazy.
I tried different options. 1. The air con - cannot, cos I was sneezing like crazy. 2. The fan - cannot, cos I continued to sneeze or have runny nose 3. No fan - Too hot, sweat and feel uncomfortable. I slept at 1am, woke up at 4am... couldn´t sleep properly and then tried to sleep again at about 6+am....Stephan woke up at 11am and I continued sleeping, all the way till 5pm... which explains why I´m super awake now... Its about 1.13am here. Oh and have I mentioned the mega ulcer that I have on my tongue? Its like small, but it hurts like crazy! I can barely talk without it being painful and it feels like I have a bad sore throat when its actually just an ulcer. Talk abt perfect timing to have an ulcer.
That aside, I´m so surprised to see my friends at the airport, who came at 7am to pick us up! Jennifer, Andrea, Shawn, Yvonne, That was so sweet, cos I know how important sleep is to working people, especially over the weekend.
I highly suspect that my blog entries over the next 4 weeks would revolve around GOOD FOOD! It even rhymes! My first meal was at Ghim Moh market - for breakfast! We ordered food likeChwee Kwey, Chicken Hor fun, Roti Prata with eggs, Kopi-ping (coffee with ice)... yum. Don´t have pix, but will post when I get them.... For dinner, we went to Bukit Timah market (near our house). Stephan had his sweet and sour pork (which he claims that mine is better, haha), I had Hainanese chicken rice and we shared Oyster omelette. Yay! Finally I get to eat the food! All the dreams I had about hawker centre food were so mean. I didn´t get to eat the food at all!

Wow Pris... thks ah, u are making me to salivate over the names of the NICE food in SG! Anyway, have fun in SG and see u in less than a month's time!
Having the ulcer and not being able to sleep in the humidity is surely a sign that you now belong to the Tews-family and a life in Germany... :) Only joking obviously, hope that you'll be feeling better asap so that you can enjoy your time and all that food.
Please say hello to all of your friends for me that I have met while I was there.
Miss ya!
