Strawberry plucking n Sabrina´s bf

Hah, I look like I didn´t do any work at all!

I had my first-ever strawberry plucking last Saturday at a Bio-farm. Had to wake up at 715am (super early for a Saturday morning) to go with my in-laws to pick strawberries. I didn´t regret it though, its such a wonderful experience to see for myself where strawberries grow. To my amazement, they do not grow in bushes (as I used to think), but on the ground! We actually had to bend down to pick them up.

The weather was great too, not too warm. Though I was dressed a bit too summery for the cold wind. I also found out why its called "STRAWberries". That´s because there´s actually straw on the ground lining the paths where the strawberries grow. Must be quite a mountain tortoise, not knowing all these growing up. Never too late for anything! Above left: I´m trying to look hardworking, when actually most of the strawberries were plucked by the other members of the family.
Another nice surprise too. Sabrina came back on Sunday afternoon for a short visit with her new boyfriend, Holger. They work for the same bank, except that Holger works for the Munich branch and Sabrina London. Really nice time with them, though I had such a difficult time at first following the conversation at the table, thanks to my sleep deprivation.

Stephan and I were invited for 2 birthday parties that fell on consecutive days -Friday and Saturday. That amounted to us having an average of 5 hours of sleep each day, since we had to wake up early on both Saturday and Sunday. I felt much better after we had coffee and cake, caffeine wonder and we all had a nice, cozy afternoon together - albeit too short. Yes Sabrina, I think that Holger is an awesome guy, very down-to-earth, honest, funny - the exact type that you take home to show your mom. Hahaha. =)
